Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey is now available in the Caribbean. The first flavoured variation in the Jack Daniel’s family, the Tennessee Honey launched simultaneously across the region recently. In Trinidad and Tobago, the launch took place at the popular Brooklyn Bar in Woodbrook. Amco, the local distributors for the brand, hosted the launch.

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey is a blend of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and a unique honey liqueur that is made in the same distillery for a taste that has hints of honey and a finish that is naturally smooth. Master Distiller Jack Arnett, in a tasting of the drink, described the whiskey as having a strong resemblance to the Jack DAniel’s Old No. 7 Tennesee Whiskey, but just slightly sweeter with a little bit of nutty finish.

Ricardo Basel, a commercial manager with over 20 years experience in sales, marketing, business development, imports/exports in Latin America and the Caribbean said since its introduction three years ago, the new drink has been well received with a million cases per year being sold.

He told us that while it was initially thought that the Tennessee Honey would take away market share from the original Jack Daniel’s whiskey, it has actually opened the door for new customers to discover Jack Daniel’s, thereby boosting sales of the original product.

He said the Tennessee Honey is great for female drinkers and goes well chilled on its own or in cocktails. He described the drink as the lighter, sweeter side of Jack Daniel’s.
